Don't know if any of you followed the TV series "Men in Trees" based in Alaska, but the bar hang-out was the 'Chieftain Pub'..... this must have been where they got it. The sign and corner are exactly the same. We happened to park on the corner in Squamish right by it.
The top picture under construction you will see again in February. It is the celebration Plaza under construction in Whistler Village. It is much like Centennial Park was in Atlanta. The view is right between the two mountains. The mountain bike trails you see are at the base of the mountain.
Beautiful! I am so proud of you for asking someone to take your picture. Too bad there is no more "Men in Trees." Cool to see the sign.
